Functioning
Each container, tilted in horizontal position, is tested with a high voltage discharge (up to 40 KV) applied to its two ends. Not leaking containers are perfect isolator and allow the passage of a minimal current while the presence of a microcrack generates an electric discharge with a high current passing through the conductive liquid inside.
Four electrodes repeat the test twice in the upper and lower half of containers allowing the detection of microholes in the range of micron even in liquids with minimal conductivity. The original and patented system to tilt in horizontal position the containers allows a very compact machine, easy to clean and maintain, with a simple size change free from adjustments. Repetitive results and easiness of setup, due mainly to a smart reduction of parameters and to integrated test devices of high voltage signals, allow an easy validation of the machine.

leak detection for plastic strips

The TP machine performs an in-line fully automatic integrity test of BFS plastic strips at high speed using the not destructive method of high voltage.

Functioning
The strips arrive from upstream machine over a conveyor where they are reversed in horizontal position. A pneumatic cylinder automatically loads each strip between the slots of a belt that pushes them over a plastic slide. Each strip is tested by four stations dedicated to different areas. At the end of conveyor an air blow automatically rejects the defective strips.
Good ones proceed towards downstream line.
The inspection method is based on the application of high voltage between two electrodes at opposite sizes of strips; the presence of a pinhole in a not conductive container causes a current spark that is detected by the system.

BM

automated visual inspection of plastic bags

The BM machine performs in automatic way the inspection of particles and the leak test of plastic bags; as option it is possible to add a labeler and other cosmetic controls.

Description
The operator positions the bags over an infeed belt between some slots. A pneumatic arm collects automatically the containers one by one and positions them between the pinces of a turret. The turret moves in intermittent way through four stations each one dedicated to a different test. Two stations are dedicated to inspection of foreign matter after rotation of bags along their horizontal axis, one to the leak test with high voltage method and one to the labelling. Rejects bags are automatically expelled by falling, while accepted proceed towards outfeed belt.

Functioning
Easy TS allows the operators to perform leak test of all kinds of containers filled with liquid products (glass ampoules and vials, plastic bottles, infusion bags, BFS strips and bottles). It can be used for off-line test of samples or, with few units, it is possible to inspect 100% of small-medium production. Operator puts the container inside the bench and presses the pushbutton: the bench automatically executes the test (in 0,1 sec) and turns on a green/red lamp to indicate the OK/NOK result.
Once set up, it doesn’t require any calibration nor specific skills to be used. Parameters are saved in recipes; numerical and graphic results are also visualized on the display.

Detection method
The bench applies the well known method of high voltage: if any leak is present, a discharge current will flow through the pinhole into the container and will be measured by the system.
